My name is Lola, and my tale is a sad one. I’m a sweet, affectionate, 10-month-old red-nosed pit bull. The only family I’ve ever known was about to abandon me on the street just because they were moving and didn’t bother to find a place where they could take me. They had loaded their car and were about to drive away and leave me on the street when a Kitty Connection volunteer arrived and took me, despite her husband’s allergy to me and the fact that they really don’t have a place to keep me. (It’s a good thing for me he loves animals, too.) I’m wonderful with children, even the toddler of the family who dumped me. If you don’t think a dog can actually cry, you didn’t hear me that night.
