My name is Celine and I am a 4-5 year old, cream colored, pure bred Persian cat. I originally belonged to a breeder who had passed away unexpectedly. Me and the other Persians had been neglected for some time before being rescued. I am growing my coat out after having been shaved because my fur was all matted. I am also gaining weight. I am fixed so no more kittens for me! I am learning to play with toys and I also like to follow her around the house.
I need a Persian-savvy adopter who knows the special care I need. My fur needs brushing and my eyes and face need cleaning daily. My foster mom thinks my former owner was not too gentle when she did this because I really really protest when I need my face cleaned. My new pet-parent needs to teach me that this can be done gently and with love. I also am leery when petted…I am okay if she pets my body but get scared when hands come near my face. With patience and love, I will learn differently. My fur is growing out and I will look like a million-bucks in no time!
My adoption fee is $150.00. This pays for my medical costs and will help pay the medical costs of the strays and abandoned cats that come into Kitty Connection every day. (I have a sister named Shania; she is more buff-colored)
(The Persian breed is known for their closeness and affection to owners, friendliness towards strangers, cleanliness, predictability, vocalization and fussiness over food. Persians are playful but not demanding and can give their owners much love and devotion. They have the ability to adapt to most environments and seem to take everything in their stride.)
