Minky

MinkyMy name is Minky, a friendly, three-year-old black male cat. I was trapped as a stray after having been heartlessly left behind by my people. I thought were my family but they moved away. I was out, on my own, for over a year, meaning…I had to fend for myself last winter.

It took a while to learn to trust humans again, but that hurdle has been cleared, and I have even taken to sleeping with my fosters. In bed, when they snap theirs fingers, I know that they intend to pet me or one of their cats, so I go to rub their hands with my face. I am quite friendly both to other cats and humans, although I definitely seem to prefer females. I’m not sure how I would react to dogs. I enjoy being petted, picked up and held, and I am quite comical when chasing a laser pointer. I also respond to my name.

Like many long-time abandoned stray cats, I am FIV+, but that should have little, if any, affect on my life-span. (For more information on FIV, seehttps://www.kittyconnection.net/2013/02/07/feline-immuno-deficiency-virus-fiv/) This will actually be to the benefit of my new family because they will get rescue rates on vet care as long as they use Kitty Connection’s vet.

My fosters say anyone who adopts me will really be getting a treasure, and who am I to disagree?
