Adoption pending! Hi or as I like to say ‘Hola’! My name is Cecilio and I am a 4 yr. old male, boxer/hound mix. I have had a tough life I was first a SATO dog – a rescue from Puerto Rico. I came all the way to Boston just to be tied to a tree when my family moved one day. I was sick, underweight and scared. Kitty Connection worked to find me a foster home and I am starting to adjust. I have been with my foster home since the beginning of June and they treat me with such love.
I am affectionate, and love to cuddle, give kisses, be petted or have my ears scratched, and …rest my head on your lap. My foster dad says I’m just a big “goofball”! My energy level is about average, and going on my daily walk and playing tug of war or with a ball is enough exercise for me. I don’t know how to fetch, but I would love for you to teach me! I adore all people, but am working on socializing with dogs. I am not fond of cats! I would do best in a home with another dog my size or as an only dog.
I am housebroken, walk politely on a leash, and am crate trained, though I prefer to sleep on a rug or in a chair. I understand sit, no, and come in Spanish and my foster parents are teaching me other commends in English: stay, lay down, and off. I can get very excited when I meet new people, my foster family is working with me on being in control and learning how to greet a new friend the right way.
I am up to date on all vaccines and I am neutered and micro chipped.
I am all better now, and after all that I have been through, I just want a forever family that I can love and live with for the rest of my life.
