I am Buster and I am a 1.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog. This, of course, means that I am HIGH ENERGY and I love to be on the go. (Cattle dogs are dogs that have a drive to be doing something…they really need a job to do to keep them busy. A bored cattle dog will find something to do, which may not be exctly what their humans have in mind.) I is no exception to this, and will need a family dedicated to providing me the exercise and structure that I crave. I am all sorts of playful and love to herd jolly balls around the yard. I also think that I should herd cars, which means that I will bite at tires when he is walking past them (including parked car tires). Though my herding behavior is normal for my breed, it does mean that I need a home familiar with the unique challenges of a smart, highly driven, herding dog. I was never properly socialized with other dogs, so at this point I am looking for a home where I can be the family’s one and only dog. (I am not sure about cats.) I will especially thrive in a “cattle dog savvy home” where I can get all the exercise I desires!
