Mila

Mila

My name is Mila.  I am a delicate little dilute calico being fostered in Boston.  When I was asked how old I was, I didn’t say.  The vet estimates that I am about three-four years old.

I am was a classic case of a cat who was devoted to people who didn’t deserve me.  They never bothered to take me to a vet and they allowed me  to go outside (which reduces a cat’s life expectancy by about 60%), so naturally I got pregnant.  My kittens were still-born.  In my distraught state, I became aggressive to their dog, so they dumped me.  I was heartbroken and lost her will to live.  I did not not eat willingly for about a week and a half.  My foster dad had to force-feed me in order to keep me alive.  When I finally began to eat willingly, it was one of the most heartwarming moments he’s ever experienced as a rescuer.

Unfortunately, I do not get along with other cats, so I had to be placed placed with a different foster with no other cats.  There, my personality emerged, and I am she showing myself to be an impish, exuberant little girl.  I am a lap-cat, and there are times when I even adopt a human-like smile.  I am as wonderful a cat as anyone could ever hope to adopt.

I have been spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and combo-tested negative for FIV and FeLV. My adopter will receive my medical records. I am allergic to seafood, so my adopter will have to bear that in mind when feeding me.

As with all rescue groups, there is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help other cats in need. The fee goes to my care and that of Kitty Connection’s other cats.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to me and provide me a safe, loving home for the rest of my life, then contact write to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com
