My name is Dew and I’m a beautiful calico girl, about eight years old. For the first two years of my life, I thought I had a family. Although they let me outside sometimes, everything else seemed OK. Then they got three kittens who, as they grew, were so aggressive toward me that I didn’t want to come inside any more, so my “family” decided that I should stay outside. My “family” eventually decided they didn’t want to leave any food outside for me any more, so I depended on neighbors to feed me. That is how I’d spent the past six years of my life until a Kitty Connection volunteer found out about this. With the help of a nice lady in the neighborhood, I was taken inside and placed into a foster home just before this recent series of winter storms. My fosters are nice to me. While all those years outside have given me an independent streak, I like chasing a laser pointer, sleeping with them and I purr when they pet me. What I need now is a permanent home with someone who will treat me with the love I deserve– and who will keep me inside, which is always the safest life for a cat.
