My name is Ozzy and I’m a handsome, orange tabby boy with a lot of spunk. I am the goofiest cat—at 2 years old, I am still a little kitten at heart! One of our volunteers helped rescue me from a kill shelter shortly before I was going to be put down. I love to be with my foster mom and will nuzzle her legs as she cooks or washes the dishes. When I get in one of my loving moods or if I’m lonely, I sit on my foster mom’s chest and nuzzle her non-stop! I love being with human companions but not so much with other animals, so I should be the only cat in the home. I will be happy with a loving home that understands my quirks and love me for them.
Despite being such a lovable cat, I have been waiting for my forever home for about nine months, which is almost unheard-of for Kitty Connection. Part of this is that I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, which is easily treatable with Cerenia, an inexpensive medicine. My treatment basically costs about as much as a two cans of cat food per day. The good news is that I seem to have gotten past the need for this medication. Kitty Connection’s vet suggested that I get weaned off of it, and I’ve done well without it. This isn’t a guarantee that I will never need it again, but it does seem promising. Regardless, Kitty Connection has arranged with its vet for my adopter to receive ongoing rescue rates for vet care as long as my adopter uses Kitty Connection’s vet. Furthermore, My adoption fee has been lowered to $50, which won’t even begin to cover what Kitty Connection spent on my diagnosis.
Any questions… please reach out to my foster mom, Dana (631-645-2280). She lives 5 min down the road from Kitty Connection, and is available most nights and weekends for meet & greets!
