Christy

My name is Christy and I’m a sweet, spunky tuxedo girl.  The vet says I’m two years old, but I’m petite and playful, so, if you want a cat who’ll retain a kittenish appearance, I’m your girl.  I thought I was someone’s cat, but it seems I was mistaken because I was abandoned.  I lived on the street for a while. Three things happened to me:

1.      I got FIV.

2.      My eye got injured.

3.      I got pregnant.

Someone got me off the street and I gave birth to three healthy kittens.  I now live with my foster dad and his cats.  They mean the world to him, but he has no reservation about fostering an FIV+ cat with his own cats because he knows they’re about as likely could be struck by lightning as they are to catch FIV from me. I try to play with them, but mostly they get annoyed. My FIV is extremely unlikely to cause me any health problems because the greatest vulnerability to FIV + cats is infections that I’m extremely unlikely to encounter indoors. However, cat should be kept indoors anyway!

As for my eye, I can’t see out of it, but the vet says I don’t need any treatment for it at this point.

I’m as friendly as any cat you’ll ever meet and as playful as a kitten– I like chasing the laser pointer up and down the hallway and rubbing up against my foster dad’s leg.  I follow him from room to room and sometimes I even come to him when he snaps his fingers. I purr whenever he picks me up and pets me.  He’s nice to me, but I need a permanent home of my own if someone who will love me and take good care of me for the rest of my life. Will it be with you?
