My name is Yelp and I am a friendly tuxedo boy about three years old. I was abandoned when the family I loved moved away and left me behind. I was out on my own for months fending for myself, but some neighbors were nice to me and helped feed me. They contacted Kitty Connection, which took me in. I have been to the vet, where I have been neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. (All of Kitty Connection’s cats have gone through these procedures.) I’m a very friendly boy, kind of talkative, and I can get along well with other cats as long as I am introduced properly.
Kitty Connection thinks that the best home for me would be an apartment or condo that has a front door that opens into a hallway rather than directly outside because cats who have been on their own outside for such a long time sometimes try to sneak out, even though that’s extremely dangerous. Cats who are allowed outside have their life expectancy decreased by about 70%.
I respond to petting with affectionate headbutts and a warm purr. Really, I’m just about everything anyone would want in a feline companion. I need a home with someone who will love me for the rest of my life. I will return that love a thousand times over because that’s what cats do.
Cats can live for up to 20 years, so give careful consideration to the changes that can occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to me for the rest of my life, then I look forward to rubbing up against your leg when I greet you at the door.
