Hello! We are Grumpy (gray tabby) and Acadia (black), and we are best friends. We are each 1 year old, and healthy overall. Arcadia has FIV, which is unlikely to cause any major health issues (see below for more information*).
When we were found in a garbage can in Vermont, things didn’t look too good for us–and when we first showed up at our foster mom’s, we were terrified! We’re still learning that humans can be trusted and loving, but in the 3 weeks we’ve been living with our foster mom, we’ve gone from hiding every day to jumping up on the sofa to get affection!
As you can see from the photos, we are incredibly cute. We love to snuggle each other, and Acadia likes to follow Grumpy all around the house like a little brother. We both love looking out the window, and lounging around the house during the day. At night, we can be pretty active! We play and run around, and like to see how much we can scrunch the living room rug into a small pile. It’s so fun! But we probably shouldn’t be in a house with fancy things, and our new family should expect a normal level of kitten-ish activity.
Since we’re both still getting used to life off the streets, a house with a patient and caring family would be best. We’ll take a little time to get to know you, but once we do we are very sweet and loving–and just looking for someone to take us both, and appreciate our dynamic duo!
*Acadia has FIV (feine immunodefficiency virus), which is unlikely to cause major health issues. There is no treatment for it, and none is necessary. It cannot be spread to non felines and is contagious to other cats under only very limited circumstances.
