Hi! My name is Boots, and I am a cute 1 year old male tuxedo cat. I’ve had it pretty tough, and am looking for a family that will be patient with me while I gain the confidence to be the bold and affectionate kitty that I am inside.
I was given to Kitty Connection by the nice lady whose porch I used to visit. Every day, I showed up begging for food and asking to come inside. She couldn’t let me in (I wanted to play with her cats, but they were not interested!), but she fed me and gave me water. Sometimes I would come to her quite beat up from my adventures around the neighborhood—while I would never hurt a fly, there are a lot of scary critters out there!! Eventually, she saw how badly I was doing on my own, and brought me to Kitty Connection.
I’ve been in foster care for a little while now and have made huge strides. I started out cowering behind couches and beds, and having to be lured out with treats. Now I have learned that humans are actually pretty nice. I love the petting and treats that they give, and even strangers are not so bad.
I am an active, playful cat. Before I learned about humans, I would play by myself with the jingle balls or my stuff mouse. My foster mom would hear me and see the toys move around the apartment even though I was too scared to play with her. Now I am also learning to enjoy the string wand toy and am ok with you watching me play.
If you are kind, patient and loving—I want to come home with you. Especially if you like treats, petting, and play!

– tested negative for FIV and FeLV
– examined by a vet
