My name is Mikey, and I am a very friendly and lovable five-year-old male. My owner went into a facility and will not be returning home. I’m really sad, but I am enjoying all the attention from the volunteers. I love being petted and I love sitting up on high places. I am a real cuddle bug and was an emotional support cat to my mom. It has been very hard on me losing my home. I need someone to understand that, even though I’m very friendly and like to be out and about right away, that I am still stressed. It is best to let me get comfortable with my surroundings, new smells, and new people. I love sitting on laps, but I need someone to take it slow and avoid stimulating me with a lot of petting until I’m settled into my new life. If you are looking for a great companion cat and have patience I am the one for you. I hope it won’t be long before I will be in a home being loved and loving someone again.
