I’m Alexandra, a sweet 8-year-old female tortoiseshell (aka “tortie”) cat. I was a surrender, so I was very scared when I first arrived at my foster home, but I’m settling in and warming up to my foster parents. I’m a friendly gal that likes to take plenty of naps, chase mouse and catnip toys, and rub up against my humans and meow when I want attention. Sometimes I’ll cuddle up on your pillow with you while you’re sleeping or make a brief visit in your lap. When I’m really happy I have a loud purr engine, make biscuits, and make little chirping sounds. I’m also a polydactyl cat, which means I have thumbs! When walking around it looks like I’m wearing mittens and my foster parents think it’s very cute. They also appreciate that I have good litter box habits, and don’t jump on their counters or try to nibble their plants. I’m very well behaved! Sudden movements and strange noises still make me a little nervous, so my foster parents think I would do best in a quiet home that can slowly introduce me to new things or other animals.
