My name is Nevada, and I’m about eight weeks old. I’ve been living with my foster family for almost 2 weeks, and I’ve made a lot of progress in that time! Although I like to snuggle, I initially made it a little difficult for my foster family to get a hold of me. They just needed to learn to approach me slowly. I made sure to never hiss or scratch at them, so that they would keep trying. Now they know that they need to take their time, and I will sit still and wait for them to pick me up. I especially like to be inside a hood or something else cozy and warm. My foster mom says I’m getting a little bit braver every day.
My foster family has lots of toys for me to play with, but I had plenty of fun with a pellet from my litter box. And, I discovered treats this weekend! I was a little wary of eating out of someone’s hand at first, but I’m sure glad I took the risk.
