Missy (tuxedo girl) and Silky (black girl) are bonded sisters, about two-three years old. They were two of about 20 cats who came from a hoarding situation. When their human was faced with poor health and the loss of her home, the cats needed to be placed into rescue. These adorable little ladies are an inseparable pair of sweethearts who enjoy playing and curling up with each other and the people around them. How bonded? When they were brought to their foster home and their carriers opened to allow them to explore, Missy remained in her carrier; Silky immediately left her carrier and entered Missy’s and curled up with her. They clearly must be adopted together. We think they would do well with children who are mature enough to treat cats respectfully. We haven’t observed them with dogs. Missy and Silky seem like an easy pair who would be suitable for a first-time adopter sufficiently patient to help them adjust to their new home.
They have been spayed, given rabies and distemper vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV. and treated for fleas and worms. Their adopter will receive their medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. A discount will apply to facilitate them getting adopted together. They’re being fostered in Boston’s North End.
