I’m Everest. I’m a shy 2.5-year-old male. I’m climbing my own mountain to learn to live inside and trust humans after spending so much time on the streets. I’m quiet and mellow, but still too shy to be pet. I am fascinated by my foster mom’s friendly kitty, but don’t appreciate when the other one hisses at me. It makes me sad. I’d probably do best in a home with another very friendly and mellow kitty friend as their presence makes me feel like things are going to be ok. I do get a little worried when they’re around when I’ve been given food, but I’m not aggressive. I’m just not used to having food available every day and I worry they might get it first so I’ll eat it really fast. I love to look outside from a comfy chair, but I’m pretty happy anywhere quiet. I’m starting to trust my foster mom and will sit a few feet away if she’s giving me treats or hanging out for a long time. Sometimes I’ll pay with her with the fishing pole type toy. I’m looking for a home that will be very patient and mellow with an adopter who knows I may never enjoy being pet or snuggled. Do you have room in your life for a shy guy?
