Playful ten-month-old Tyger is probably the friendliest cat you’ll ever meet. Tyger was rescued as a frightened, abandoned stray. He was taken in by a kind, elderly woman who could not keep him, despite how much she wanted to.

You know how most cats hide for a while when strangers walk in? Well, that’s not Tyger. His tendency is to rub against people and solicit petting within minutes. Tyger is a sleek, energetic, social boy who loves to interact with people, so he should be adopted into a home where he will get lots of play time and not be unaccompanied for long periods of time. We have not observed him with kids. We think he would do well with older kids who know how to treat cats respectively. He should be the sole four-legged creature in his home. His foster mom describes Tyger as a gentle, easy cat who would be an excellent choice for a first-time adopter.

Tyger has been:
– neutered
– vaccinated against rabies and distemper
– tested negative for FeLV and FIV
– treated for worms and fleas
– examined and determined to be healthy by a vet

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He’s being fostered in Boston’s Back Bay area.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to him and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for him as we try to match people with the right cats.
