Salutations! I’m Whiskers, an 8-year old female diffused tortoiseshell cat.
I spent the last five years as the boss of an automotive repair shop, in charge of keeping the employees entertained and in good spirits, until it closed, at which time I was put up for adoption. I am slowly transitioning to a 1,100 sq ft third floor condo. I’m doing quite well acclimating to my foster home if I must say so myself.
My foster mom says that I’m petite, soft spoken and shy. I have a very loud purr especially when I am eating wet food or asking for attention. I’m shy at first, but once comfortable, I love to purr and receive head pets.
I’m learning to do things that other cats are familiar with. For example I’m learning how to play with cat toys and sleep in a cat bed. I still have a preference to sleep on the floor or a rug. I’m gradually inviting my foster mom to pet me on my head and above my tail. One day I’m going to surprise her and jump up on her lap or crawl into the bed with her at night when it’s time to go to sleep.
I would feel welcomed in a home that does not have small children or a dog as I appreciate being able to have “me time” when I need it. I haven’t lived with other cats before so I’m open to having a “test” playdate with other kitties to introduce myself to them and see how we get along.
Unless otherwise noted in the above description, Kitty Connection cats have been:
– spayed or neutered
– vaccinated against rabies and distemper
– tested negative for FIV and FeLV
– examined by a vet
Adopters will receive their medical records.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to providing a safe, loving home for life, then please submit a pre-adoption application.
