Hi, my name is Velvet, and I’m a 3-year-old female with a heart full of love and a story of resilience.
I was found by Animal Control, squeezed into a tiny carrier on the sidewalk of a busy street. It was terrifying with all the cars whizzing by, and I had no way to escape to safety. Thankfully, a kind person spotted me before the worst could happen, and I was taken off the street by Animal Control.
At first, I was understandably scared — imagine being put into another crate after all that! But when I arrived at Kitty Connection and they let me out, I was so relieved to have space again that I immediately rubbed up against a volunteer and welcomed some gentle pets. Everyone laughed in surprise — just moments ago I was frightened, but underneath it all, I’m really just a friendly, affectionate lady.
After getting spayed, I moved into a foster home, which was another adjustment. Each day, I’m settling in more and more, and my sweet personality is blooming.
I can be a little picky about my food — but don’t worry, I’m also watching my figure! Cats don’t need to eat a lot, after all. 
I’m a beautiful girl looking for a forever home where I’ll be given the time, patience, and love to feel safe and comfortable. If you give me a chance, I’ll blossom into the most wonderful and loyal companion you could ask for.
