In response to concerns about COVID-19, all adoption events are cancelled for the time being. For more information about our updated adoption process, FAQs, and additional resources for pet care regarding the coronavirus, please click here.
There’s a lot to think about when adopting an animal! Start by reading the things to know before you adopt to ensure that you’re ready for a pet and can handle the responsibilities.
Once you’ve decided you’re ready to adopt, have these items prepared:
— Completed pre-adoption application
— Proof of ownership or landlord permission to have animals
— Rabies certificates for your pets at home
— Carrier for your cat (in case you’re approved)
— Adoption donation (to be paid in full at the time of adoption)
— A safe room ready at home
When applying, please refer to a specific available animal within the application as we do not hold applications for any specific breeds or types of pets.
Adoption Donations
Please be aware that animals from Kitty Connection require an adoption donation, which helps to cover costs related to medical bills, food and shelter. All fees must be paid in full at the time of adoption. Adoption donations are used to provide medical treatments and care for our animals before they are placed into their forever home. Estimated adoption fees below:

Timeline + Process
Keep in mind that we are a small organization made up entirely of volunteers, so our response time may be slow. While it’s totally possible that you could talk to an adoption counselor immediately after applying, it will most likely take a little while to get connected with someone… but once you are connected with someone on our adoption team, the process can move very quickly. In order for us to continue our work in animal rescue, it’s important that anyone who submits our pre-adoption application is ready to bring a new cat into their home within 24 hours of speaking with an adoption counselor.
If you have not heard back from us after you have submitted an online form within a week’s time, please contact us via email and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
