Kitty Connection has a program for low income pet owners, where you can get low-cost medical services for your pets. Clinics are available in Dorchester, Lynn, and Revere. There are also limited services in Medford, Winchester, and Charlestown. Email or call us for more information!
The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society in Salisbury, MA, offers low-cost spay and neuter programs, including for feral cats. They also have a spay/neuter Catmobile that visits a number of cities and towns. If you receive any kind of government assistance, the Catmobile gives a sizeable discount to get cats spayed & neutered.
For pets of qualifying residents (pet owners who are receiving assistance from city, state, or federal programs), the Shalit-Glazer Clinic at the MSPCA Boston provides one-day spay/neuter and vaccination packages for:
- Cats
- Kittens
- Pit Bulls
The Shalit-Glazer clinic focuses on these animals because they have the highest rates of homelessness in the area.
The Merwin Memorial Free Clinic for Animals in Allston, MA provides free office visits and free outpatient veterinary services.
Massachusetts law requires that owners of cats and dogs vaccinate their pets for rabies. Low-cost rabies vaccination clinics are available in some towns.
Dog Training
K9 Academy New England provides dog training classes and private dog training lessons north of Boston in Revere, Chelsea, Everett, Medford, Saugus, Melrose, Stoneham, Peabody, Lynnfield, Middleton and most North Shore surrounding cities in Massachusetts.

Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet and Dogs on Deployment are programs that help deployed Military find temporary homes for their pets during deployment or times of hardship. These pets are returned when their owners get back.
